You can wax it anytime you want. And no, it does not come pre-waxed
Do note however, just because your truck is new doesn't mean it's perfect. Foolish to think that just because your new truck is on a dealer lot makes it untouchable to the elements. It was partly exposed during transport. Collects pollen and dust as it sits on the prep lot. Collects even more pollen and dust as it sits on the sales lot. Gets power washed with diluted water weekly. May get hit with a few rain showers if your dealer is located in an area that gets..weather.
You can wax anytime you want. All wax is really is just another clear layer of protection. You can pay the dealer to do it. You can do it the moment you get home. or a year when you purchase it. There really is no set time frame to be honest.
Speaking of such.. I'm about to claybar my Durango for the first time in 12 years. Should be interesting to see how it looks..
