Default I don't understand

ummmm. why a "leveling kit" ?

You guys do know that when a "Truck" is LOADED the back end gets lower right??

The higher rear end is designed like that for reason. Because trucks are used to haul things. and when loaded with "Stuff" you have Balance and Control.
I guess I'll never understand why people buy Hummers either, What a waist of good steel.

Clearance and it looks better. I don't really haul anything in my bed, only a toolbox and dog box. If I were to load my bed up with heavy stuff the rake would be beneficial, but for me it is a nuisance and a leveling kit is a necessity.

I put a 2 inch HBS levelling kit in my 01 1500 and I love how it looks! I never tow anything or have a significant amount of weight in the bed, so the rake is not neccesarry and unwanted. I plan on throwing some 35s on there in the next few month and they definitely won't fit stock, but many people run them with only a leveling kit.

i didnt like the leveled look either, but instead of removing the v10 springs i installed a 2" hd aal. but, even with the v10 springs, with the plow on, i still had a rake.

but the thing is, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has one!

If you think the rake is all about load capp think again most of its for mpg, think that air dam is there for looks...... nope it has a purpose. From what I see the way people load their trucks rake makes not one bit of difference most over load anyways. I have an 1.5 extra lift in the back right now bugs the living S*** right outta me, reminds me of the days of jacked up rear ends of cars using air shocks with big fat tires sticking out dumb.

I like my rake.

When I see trucks actually being used as trucks they sit so damn nose high it's unreal.
