Default rv jack capable of lifting my truck to change flat tire??

hey guys bought my truck used, and it never came with a jack. I purchased a jack today that has a lifting height of up to 24" so I can jack my truck at the frame rails and actually get my tire to come off the ground decently to change out a flat if need be. I already tested it out and it worked like a charm. Only question is this scissor jack is only rated for 2 tons. Is my 2006 dodge 1500 qc 4x4 too heavy for this thing??

Nope.

That would have to be 2 tons, ON ONE WHEEL. So I think you're fine.

Just remember, cars used to come with scissor jacks, and those cars weighed more than these trucks in some cases.

I used the stock jack once, I had to crank the damn thing for like 5 minutes just to hit the lower control arm

If I'm in town, I don't worry about a jack. I have on-board air and a hose. If that doesn't work I have a can of fix-a-flat. If that doesn't work I have towing on my insurance.

If I'm out of town I do carry a 3 ton floor jack

^Man I wish I had that stuff on my truck.
I don't even have spare. I might as well take mine out and save some MPG.

Don't feel bad, go price a Pirelli 325/45/24 tire and see why I don't have a spare either. Hence why I carry an air hose and fix-a-flat just in case.

Humor me, go price the tire and post how much you find them for.

What model do you have? That makes a difference you know.

(sort of joking, but not really)

*edit*

Nevermind.

As far as I am aware, there are only 2 companies that make a 325/45/24, Pirelli and Yokohama
