Default Speaker size? and my new speaker setup

I was just wondering what speaker size we have in our truck? I heard they are 6.75", if so, what adapter is a good cheapo one?

lol...gotta laugh...reminisce...damn I miss my truck....I had the infinity system in mine and it was PLENTY loud for me....I had people constantly ask me what kind of system I had....factory I told them, no one believed me. Maybe it's old ears but I was (and still do) listening to heavy dub....bassnectar.....lfmao, deadmau5.....anything with a bass drop....the Infinity system in my Dak never failed to reproduce the lowest of lows...the ones you cant hear but feel.....imagine my surprise when I was so stoked my little Sebring had an infiinity system in it....4 6x9" speakers and it does not come close to the bass the same system with 6.5" speakers did in my Dak, maybe it's because shes a vert...missing the "whole cabin" thing...anyways.......Did I mention I miss that truck?

I ended up ordering 4 Kenwood 6.5" 3 ways. Not extreme, just better than stock with the clarity of 3 different ranges. Then I ordered a Polk 8" subwoofer, it will go in the custom enclosure I'm making. It replaces the center seat / console, sits right on the brackets that the seat attached to. Should all work together to bring much better quality audio to my beast.

Kent, my stockers hit pretty hard too, a lot harder that any cardboard speaker I've ever used before, and mine is just the non-infinity system, must be the acoustics..

And I never was a dubstep listener until recently, I like mostly the heavy drop stuff as well. If you ever hear Deadmau5's take on dubstep, he says he hates it lol. Because it cheats music quality, according to him, it can be played on any system and sound good... something about the full range being flooded with sound. You should check out Celldweller, I'm kinda hooked on it. Mostly the Space and Time remix album. A lot more vocals than most dubstep/electronic music. Good artist

Here's a quick peek at my work in progress. These are the sized up and cutout pieces sitting in place ready to be glued and nailed. It's glued and nailed now, but the bottom is not going on until I skimcoat a good layer of fiberglass resin all over the inside, and pool some in the corners to sorta round off the interior.
