Default 14 Durango RT 0-60 and 1/4 mile times

Any official 14 Durango RT 0-60 and 1/4 mile times posted yet? Just curious how much of a difference the 8spd made.

I doubt you will see much of a performance difference, just driveability and a slight increase in fuel economy.

It'll be interesting to see. First gear in the 8 speed is 4.6 vs 3.0 in the 6 speed. Both have .67 for the 8/6 gear. So the 4.6 will make up for the 3.09 vs 3.45 axle ratio in the '13. At highway speeds the gas mileage will be better in the '14. Chrysler is touting a 9 pct increase in mileage which just happens to very close to the percentage diff in the rear ratios.

LOL....sorry Craig but you couldn't be more wrong. In the GC...the 2014 V6 is just a hair slower than the 11-13 5.7 hemi. One mag was quoted as saying no difference...7.5 0-60 for the 11-13' v8 hemi and a 7.7 0-60 for the 2014 V6. All you R/T guys better keep an eye out for the 14' V6 Durangos...they may just surprise you. Also...the v8 2014 GC has turned some 0-60 times of 6.6 I think. Its all on JeepGarage. This tranny has made a HUGE difference in performance....like I said it would months ago and was massacred on here!

off topic a little...but heres my 2014 Jeep SRT running a 3.7 to 60 mph. Ignore my silliness at the end please! LOL

I don't care if a v6 can keep up 0-60. Stick a boat behind it and load it full of gear then you'll see the difference.

Torque matters, well at least to us guys that use our hitch

I dont buy it. The new 8 spd and Hemi will get you going a bit quicker but not by much.
The V6 will still be the V6 , The HP numbers havent changed and the weight of the vehicles hasnt changed.
I believe it's more efficient overall but after driving one a 14 R/T with the 8 speed yesterday, its definetely smoother up to 60-65mph cruizing speed BUT it doesnt feel like a night and day difference.
Scott your GC is a Rocket congrats...

Drove the new GC V-6 8 speed. Snappy for sure, but the DD has a lot of pounds on the GC which would hurt that V-6 on a hill, passing or pulling a load. I'll enjoy my '13 R/T for 2-3 years and then see what's new by 2015 or 16.

the tests speak for themselves guys...check out the car and driver article and a few others. the v6 with 8 speed is 2/10 seconds slower to 60 and just barely slower in 1/4 mile than the 11-13 hemi 5.7. The numbers don't lie.

heres the instrumented test with car and driver as my numbers were just going by memory
