Hey guys finialy took my truck to a shop and he sayed he believes my shift silinoid is bad so I did it myself while under there I was wondering if the 2 valves are supposed to have a lot of play in them or not? I can move em up and down maybe a inch or so. Any idea how much play that should have ?
I'm not sure what they are I don't know much on transmissions myself I just didn't think it was good for them to be that loose. Another thing is is that the bolts on my valve cover were not that tight some only hand tight could that be causing a shift problem to?

Do you mean valve body?
Yes loose valve body bolts could cause shifting issues.
I didn't see in the post but ware does the connector go for the main solenoid? And how tight do those valves get tightened? But deffinatly helped figure out what I'm looking at under these.
