On Boad Air System

On Boad Air System
I installed an on board air system in the Camo Beast. After toying around with where to mount it and the tank, I finally decided that I had plenty of room inside my tool box. The system consists of twin Viair compressors. I got the Dual 400C pack. It is rated 33% duty cycle and puts out 4.55cfm at 0psi. In the 90psi range it puts out 2.65cfm. I figured this would be ample considering the main purpose is to inflate tires. So I mounted the compressors and the tank to a piece of 3/4" OAK plywood and ran the necessary wires to the tool box. It works like a champ.
The Flex hose can reach all four tires.
It takes about a couple of minutes to take these 37 from 20# to 35#

That is a really neat setup you got their. I like the Via-Air systems but don't have the room for them in my Jeep. I have a York like Wh1t3NuKle does and it works over time.
For those who do not want to try and mount a York here is a way to use your stock A/C compressor. It doesn't have as much volume as the York but it will air your tires back up and make your air horn work.

I really like this setup. It is very clean and shows the time and thought into it. I really almost went this route. My only hangup was I couldn't get a box that would fit right while retaining my Thule Racks. I'm still attached to them for use of the Cargo Pod and Bike Mounts. Anyone that has and uses a bed toolbox, I highly recommend this type of install when considering OBA. Good job on it OP.
I have to say I chuckled a bit on the first picture when noticing the step chair at the tailgate. It is the exact same one I use...!!! hahahahah

Thanks! the Yorks are definitely one of the best ways to go. After I lifted the truck a step ladder became an absolute must. Its funny, like you siad before, our trucks are the same. Mine is exactly yours twin, that is before the camo. When I got the white 04-Diesel, I couldn't have two white trucks and thats when it got the first camo job.
