Default Monroe Struts
I need struts for my 2007 Dakota 4x4 so What do you guys think of Monroe Suspension Strut and Coil Spring Assembly #171100. Will they be as good as the original Mopar ones!!!

No way 'as good'. They kick a$$ over the OEM junk struts. Just get them...the Monroes.

They will be a huge improvement.

Monroe is way better than OEM. You really dont need the added expense of the coil spring, factory ones are ok. Its the OEM strut itself that sucks.

I went with there quick struts. There a lot better then mopar. Good luck getting that bolt out of that rubber bushing.

I just soaked mine with wd-40! I heard you can get away with heating them up, but not sure how you would do that and not burn the rubber.

I keep hearing about this. I just changed the struts on my 2011 (35k miles) and both lower bolts came right out. Is it age related or just something with the trucks further north.

It's age, rust, and over torque.

If you hit them with the WD-40 rust penetrating spray and just work at it heating isn't necessary. If you do need to hear it start with an induction heater not a heat gun.
