Default Short Spark Plug Wires for Hemi

I ran accross these on E-bay today. Has anyone seen them before? If so, what purpose do they serve?

NEW Taylor BLUE 8.2mm ThunderVolt 50 Shorty Spark Plug Wires. These fit all 03-05 5.7 powered Rams/Durango's, or any 5.7 crate engine. Once installed these convert you current ignition setup over to the Mopar Performance Crate 5.7 Ignition setup. Installation is simple, you just remove your current spark plug wires that cross over the top of the intake and install these. They can only be installed one way so there is no chance of mis-installation.
Couldn't copy the photo. These wires don't run across the top of the engine, but stay on the same side. Help?

I really didnt notice any gains in performance with the wires....Yes all the stock wire will come out, when I took the pic it was starting to get dark and I still had the drivers side to do......I will get new pics for you sometime today..

Thanks for the info. Looks sharp. Did the intake have to come off to get the facory wires out? These wires would be much easier to replace than stock, if the intake stays on.

Kevin,

When you replaced your wires, did you replace the spark plugs too or just the wires?

Yes, I had to remove the Hemi hat and the airbox to remove the old wires, and also to change the plugs......

With the original 'cross over' ignition wires on a 5.7 Hemi,
if an ignition coil fails
the cylinder on which the coil is mounted
will still have one sparkplug firing.

With the short wires
if an ignition coil fails
that cylinder will not have spark on either sparkplugs.

Thanks for the info Keven and HankL. Hadn't considered the cross-over aspect. But then I could fit into a thimble everything I know about how my Hemi works.
