Default Auxiliary Power Outlet

Is there a fuse for the auxiliary power outlet on a 1998 Dakota? I've looked in the fuse panel on the side of the dash and tell doesn't seem to be one. Thanks.

The fuse is not tied in to he cig lighter fuse wich shouldbe in the panelon the driver side dash. You have to get on your knees and look under the dash towards the area of the above mentioned fuse box, You need a flashlight. There should be four fuses under there the 20amp should be your culprit.

Can somebody PLEASE help me with this? My auxiliary power outlet isn't working either. I looked under the dash near where the fuse panel is (on the left side), but don't see any fuses. I have the '97 Dakota, which should have those fuses in the same place. There is a light that goes on behind the fuse panel and I can see a lot of wires, but no fuses. With a flashlight, I looked up all under there, all over that side of the dash. Are they in a box or exposed like the ones in the fuse panel?

Thanks for any guidance, this is frustrating!

You may also find this fuse under the hood in the fuse block by the battery.

I looked there. No such fuse there!

I have read there are about four fuses somewhere underneath the dash near the back of the fuse block that is at the side of the dash on the driver's side, and I do see a white block up behind there with foam tape around it, but don't know if that's it or there are exposed fuses that I should be able to see just like in the fuse panels. Also, there is a larger white plastic box lower than the other one that you need to screw a nut off before opening, and perhaps it's that one too? I don't want to mess around with any wires, etc. until I know where the fuse is and am hoping someone can cue me in.

Thanks!
