Finger crossed, but I might have a new ride..
No I'm not bailing, I'm still gonna be part of the 3rd gen family.. but my Mopar family might get bigger.
I was perusing the interwebs the other day and came across this beast here, a car I had seen around town and also participated in a Mopar of Utah year end cruise with last year, and I actually took some pics of his car on the cruise, which I think I posted.
It's a 2006 Charger R/T Daytona, show car quality. But what I didn't know, and what you can't see in the pics, is that it's a fully built, all forged 5.7, with a 8:1 compression ratio, and a Hellion twin turbo kit pushing 12lbs for a peak of 736hp and 720 lbft... basically it's a monster.. and it might be mine lol.
If anyone is wondering... yes I have thought of what it would take to swap setups from this to my truck... and lets just say I haven't eliminated that as an option.. imagine the Hemi Dakota being twin turbo'd with 700+ hp...
I have been approved for the loan, there's just one other potential buyer that the seller is not too confident about.. so hopefully it works out in my favor.

I'm happy to say it worked out. I'm hitting myself because I already have a gawdy overpowered fuel chugger lol... and now I have one that's even more of all three of those, but it can't haul anything but ***, and it won't be driven in the winter lol. haha.
With the car I got a new set of rear tires, a Diablosport tuner, a spare transmission (seriously) and various stock parts.
My plan now is to drive it to get used to it.. it's high on turbo lag so it doesn't really kick hard off the line, but it's that 2500+ rpm area and above that scares me. I haven't even had it past half throttle yet.
I want to get one race in this year.. maybe. I might see if I can get the 12.9 on street tires that the seller told me about.

Thanks guys! and holy ****... I've driven it only 30 miles or so and I'm afraid of this thing! When it starts to pull, it doesn't want to stop. I pulled onto the freeway at an entrance where I normally floor my truck (which picks up pretty good) and at only just over half throttle, it was going 95mph in the same distance it takes my truck to get to 70.
I did some quick math and found that on motor alone, it makes around 405hp or about 500 at the crank. The 736hp comes out to around 890hp at the crank. I need to build the drivetrain to handle it on the strip, right now it would break everything if I tried to launch it on slicks lol.
My only regret is that I didn't build it myself, but this way I financed it and had it all at once which I guess is a nice benefit, but I have a lot of exploring to do in order to know this car as well as I know the Dakota.

Thanks DeerHunter, I've had a close call in the pickup and I'm definitely more careful these days...
I washed her up, and here's the first reveal pics and a short video of my uggamug revving the motor a bit... sorry if the pics are huge.
