Wow! I have 13 keys on my ring. Never had that problem before.

 

The funny part when I turned it off was I went to hit the gas and I was thinking my exhaust got awful quiet all of a sudden...

My wife drives a town & country van and hers has that key, to me, very anoying!! I hate it. Thought I would be smart and head over to Walmart and get a copy made and just not use the remote entry. The van will only start with the copy. The engine light flashes and the steering wheel won't turn properly. Dealer said that is exactly how it is supposed to work for theft reasons. Also, he said $69.95 when the battery runs out of the remote for a replacement key. That sucks!!!

 

hellz yeah it sucks yeah the copy won't work because they have lil' transponders in them to prevent theft...

I would get one of those two pager remote starter things... but I don't think you can get remote starters on Manual Transmissions...can you?

You can, some places won't do it but it's very very possible. Only thing is I would not recommend this unless you know you will not forget to take it out of gear. When I had my Teg there were quite a few guys with remote start on manuals on the forums I hung out on. One of them had his car go through the garage door one morning when he accidentally left it in first and hit the remote start [:@]

Yeah I never leave it in Gear I always double check to make sure its in neutral with the Parking Brake or E-Brake on... cuz I always start my truck, take my foot off the clutch, then set my iPod up and then take the brake off and put it in gear...
