You can borrow a code reader at Autozone or most auto parts stores, long as you're just going out to the parking lot with it they don't charge anything.

Borrowed code reader from Advance Auto...
No codes...
This irritates me so much because this is now the third Dodge vehicle in a row (04 SRT4, O5 Dakota, 08 Dakota) that I've had that has had a frustrating problem that seemingly cannot be solved. Sometimes I wonder if there's a target on my back. I'd like to get through a year without bringing my vehicle in for service...
yeah, if its only doing it while stopping, its either an ABS sensor or possibly a wheel speed sensor... Its not tossing code, so the sensor is probably fine, just misaligned like superdak said.
It won't throw a code if the "check engine" light is not on. It could be a seat belt sensor. It also could be the window wash empty sensor is malfunctioning. I can tell you that the chime when mine is low scares the crap out of me instantly thinking something is wrong until I see that my mileage indicator has change to "low washer"(or whatever it says).

Took the truck to the dealer repair this morning. Verdict is the new instrument cluster is defective. Will replace tomorrow. I doubt that this will solve the problem, but we'll see.
