05 4.7 stalling....Sensors?
I recently had my codes checked after my truck stalled. The codes pointed to the Camshaft Sensor, however the service techs tested my truck with a new Camshaft Sensor and it still had the symptoms of...not going over 2500RPMS, and the engine would "shutter" when coming to 1000RPMS.
I ended up calling a Dodge Dealer and he said it also could be the Crankshaft Sensor...Crankshaft Sensor was replaced and the truck was okay for about a day. I took it on a 60 mile ride, and it ended up stalling around 30 miles, on an interstate going around 70mph. The engine hiccupped violently and the symptoms came back. It stalled......after 20 minutes it started back up again. I couldn't go above 2500 RPMs, so I had to slowly get up to 65MPH.
I got to the destination, let it sit for about 3 hours...came back out started fine, but I could tell it still had the restricted RPMS. The CEL (Check Engine Light) went off, was good for a day and then the symptoms started again. The CEL now remains on and the symptoms are erratic at best. I can get to work fine but the problem is not fixed.
Should I change the Camshaft Sensor now? are there more tuning steps that need to be done after changing, the Crankshaft Sensor and now the Camshaft sensor? If you need more details please let me know.

I sure can, it is a 2005 Dodge Dakota, 79,000+ miles, 4.7 V8 Magnum Quad Cab.
As a matter of fact, it stalled last night about 20 miles away from home. CEL came back on, (It did go off after I said it was on in my first post). It wouldn't start, luckily I got a ride with someone going to the same event, so I left the truck, on my way back through to go home, I stopped at my truck, it started up fine, and then shuttered a couple of times when I was about 20 miles into the ride, I shifted to Neutral, turned the truck off and then fired it back up. To my surprise it started up, usually it wouldn't start for 20 minutes when it stalls (fuel is cut off, I am sure that is an intended safety feature for the engine)
I will take the advice and go to a Dodge Dealer to have them look at the PCM. I am still holding out that it could be the Camshaft Sensor, but the more I think about it, the more it points to something outside of either sensor. Thanks guys for the advice.
