Default 05 4.7 Coolant question

Hey all,

Doing my first coolant flush this weekend in preparation of the brutal Florida summer. I just had a quick question. In the owners manual it says to only use a ethylene glycol coolant with HOAT like mopar 5 year/100k. Originally I was just planning on buying a few jugs of prestone 50-50 but I don't want to do any damage to the engine. Is the mopar coolant really necessary? From what I've heard, it is more expensive than prestone and you can only buy it from the stealership.

Thanks in advance!

Yup, I use the Zerex. Napa is the only one that carries it by me.

G05 is the stuff to use bit its hard to find. If you can't find it you can use the dexcool from the chevys or the universal all makes all models antifreeze. What ever you do don't mix with the green stuff.
