Hello,

I have a 2007 Raider with 57K miles. Twice over the past 6 months, the engine has sounded like it was revving too high, and I noticed the transmission wouldn't upshift past a certain point. Today I noticed this at about 40MPH / 3000 RPM. I'm guessing I was in 2nd or 3rd. Both times, powering the engine off and back on cured the problem immediately. It sounds purely electronic to me. Any suggestions?

Try disconnecting the battery for an hour or so. Known to cure all kinds of electronic gremlins.
