Keyless Entry and CTM

Keyless Entry and CTM
Hello all
So--keyless entry was not working at all, took apart the key fob and found one of the mounts for the battery were off the board. Had a friend take it to her work (she solders sensitive electronics for military applications) she solders loose terminal down.
Now, with a new battery fob only works about 70% of the time. Was doing some research online about it possibly being the CTM......but there are no other electrical issues, just this one issue. Intermittent wipers work, all lights, all chimes. Also tried taking negative vehicle battery terminal off and letting it sit for an hour. No improvement.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
