Trans temp fluid sensor !

Yup, the temp sensor is a thermister that is integrated into the solenoid pack, so you gotta replace it all as one unit.
Monitored the temp while driving with live data from your OBD? Random temp spikes (say, from 80C to 200C, back to 80C in about 5-10seconds) are typically caused by either aeration of the fluid, or metal in the fluid. So my first question would be, how is your fluid level? Checked it the proper way, all hot and on a level surface, in Neutral after going through all the gears?
If the level is good, it points to metal in the fluid. When was the last time you serviced the trans?
