2006 dodge Dakota will not start after transmission fluid change

Default 2006 dodge Dakota will not start after transmission fluid change

had a leak inn the tarnny oil pan gasket changed it out and put in a new filter. started her up no problem and tried to drive it and it would not move. it is an automatic transmission. shut it off to try again and now it wont start anymore make a grinding sort of noise. any ideas.

Is the fluid at the proper level?

What transmission/engine?

First problem, I'm betting 4.7 with the 545RFE. Check BOTH filters. It is likely they aren't seated properly - it's a common problem. You lose pressure internally so no visible leaks. Only use OEM.

Second problem, is it the starter grinding?

I'll move this to the 3rd gen forum.
