Default Seatbelt Alarm Disable?

Anyone know how to turn off the seatbelt alarm? Normally you can do a search online and find the series of ignition and button presses to get rid of it but I cannot figure it out?

why? if your seatbelt is unbuckled at the time of impact your insurance company may sue you if you get hurt. i also read somewhere that certain airbags will not deploy if belt is unbuckled. i was like you for years with not wearing the belt. the mfr's have now beatin me down to wear i do it out of habit and feel naked without it. once you do it for a week or so (to shut the beeping off) it won't bother you. PLUS it keeps you safe lol

Default Try this

Disable BeltAlert (Seat Belt Chimes):
NOTE: The following steps must occur within the first
60 seconds of the ignition switch being turned to the ON
or START position. DaimlerChrysler does not recommend
deactivating Beltalert.
1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position and
buckle the driver’s seat belt.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and wait
for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn off.
3. Within 60 seconds of turning the ignition switch to the
ON position, unbuckle and then re-buckle the driver’s
seat belt at least three times within 10 seconds, ending
with the seat belt buckled.
NOTE: Watch for the Seat Belt Warning Light to turn on
while unbuckling and off while re-buckling the seat belt.
It may be necessary to retract the seat belt partially each
time when unbuckling.
4. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position. A
single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully
completed the programming.

I wear my seatbelt almost always the chiming gets on my nerves when my passengers dont wear it and it chimes forever. Also at work when we move our cars from one lot to another it bugs me but other than that I always wear my belt. Honestly I do not need the chime to remind me to wear it...

I turned off my chime in my Megacab. We always took my truck to the ranch, and we don't use seatbelts on the ranch. It's really unnecessary and a hindrance. The procedure in Post #3 is how you do it on the truck....I don't know how to do it with the push-button start....

How about the door chime, is there a way to sit and listen to the radio (car not running) with the drivers door open without the chime?

Without pressing the brake pad, pressing the Engine Start/Stop button once turns the switch to Accessory position, twice to On position, and a third time to Off/Lock again.

Trace,

I could find no instructions on disabling the door chime when key is on and the drivers door is open. Sorry.

Chris,
Okay, thanks. Is there a work around by chance, for example in the old days i would stick my foot up in the door jam and hold the switch in, I dont see a switch in this one though.
