Type: 2011 Crew w/V-6
Purchased: July 2011 (purchased new)
Current mileage: 28000

Problems/issues
Only had the vehicle in dealership for oil changes and tire rotation. Currently have a clunking noise on driver door window when it closes and will have dealer check out when in for next oil change. Had a squeaking noise in dash but cleared up once the following damage was repaired: windshield replaced due to crack from rock and front right quarter panel and passenger door skin replaced (among a few other body parts and trim in that area replaced) due to a deer hit. Now no dash panel squeaks (tough way to fix issue).

Love the vehicle and are planning a second 5500 mile road trip later this summer...very comfy vehicle for traveling and would buy a generation 3 Durango again.

Type: 2012, V6 RWD, Crew
Purchased: 11/11
Current mileage: 35,350

Problems/issues:
- Rear window washer stopped working, replaced nozzle by the dealer.
- Passenger electric window motor works 99.9% of the time, still can't understand why 0.01% of the time if just won't work. Dealer couldn't replicate the issue.

comments/notes:
Arrived today from a 2.600 miles trip, this SUV is just fantastic, I love it everyday more.. It is extremely quiet, drives like a car and extremely comfortable for long trips. I averaged 21mpg 90% highway driving, but I was driving pretty fast with an average of 85+ mph.

2012 AWD R/T
Purchased 12/2011
Current mileage: 26,758

Taking it to the dealer Monday to check an issue in the ceiling - there's a rattle/knock in the roof right behind the sun roof and the rear AC controls. I put my hand up there and pushed against the ceiling, and it sounded like tape or velcro trying to stick together again and was coming apart. Also, the sunroof sometimes does not close when I press the button to auto close - I have to hold it to close it. It will open just fine.

Front drivers side under the headlight, the bumper is loose and does not sit flush like the other side.

Day 4 without my Durango - they had to order clips for the headliner. They fixed the loose area on the bumper. I've been stylin' and profilin' in a loaner 2013 Kia Optima since Monday

I wasnt paying $700 a month to drive a friggin taurus!

So after a week without my Durango, I pick it up this morning. The noise I hear from the headliner is still there, AND I was told they fixed the bumper, which they clearly did not. I wanted to raise hell, but my service writer and the technician who worked on my vehicle were both off today. They told me that they checked a couple of other Durango's, and the noise coming from the headliner was "normal". I called bull**** on that - if that was the case, I would have heard it from day one, and not just within the past 2 weeks. Also, if they consider that normal, they need to fire the guys who did their QA tests on this vehicle. I definitely left out of there unhappy

2013 V6 RWD
Purchased 3 months ago
Mileage: 3460
Problem:
Windshield was cracked. Dealer replaced, now water is dripping from overhead console after a rain. The dealer worked on it two times and each time they swear to me that it was fixed. It still leaks! Now I notice water stains on the headliner! Sheesh!!

Type: 2011, V8 RWD, Crew
Purchased: 08/11
Current mileage: 38,000+

Problems/issues:

- The infamous front bumper issue. Now cracks have developed on both sides.
- Periodic rubber streaking on interior of driver door window. I can live with it since I wash/ clean my DD weekly but still annoying.
- Driver door not aligned with driver front quarter panel and rear driver side passenger door.
- Both exterior mirror housing units cracked and splayed on top. Had both replaced under warranty only to have the same issue return again. WTF?
- Tail light housing units feel loose. I can move it with my finger. Not solid.
- Rear liftgate also not flush when closed.
- A few intermittent issues with the car not starting. Hasn't happened in about a year. Fingers crossed on this one...
- Had to have a transmission solenoid? replaced under warranty.
- The one LED over the driver interior door handle went out.

Comments/ notes:

Averaging 15 MPG which is what I expected in about 50/50 driving. I do love the Hemi power.

I changed all 16 plugs myself at 32k. Much easier than what many make it out to be and next time I'll wait a little longer since they looked fine when I pulled them.

I changed the cabin air filter at about 30k and it was way overdue. That thing looked pretty bad compared to other cars I have done. I'll do it yearly from now on.

Went to Mobil 1 synthetic 5w/20 using a Motorcraft filter.

THE question: Knowing what I know now, would I buy my DD again: NO.

Final thought: I just wish this car was as solid on the outside as it is on the inside.
