For those interested in a 3rd Gen Durango, here are postings about our reliability
ok guys, here is the deal, i (shrpshtr325, section moderator) like the idea of this thread and think that it will be helpful to ourselves as well as any other people who are looking to buy and are doing research on this truck. Im just going to lay down a few guidelines here as follows.
1.)Each and Every post in this thread will include the following [any post which does not follow this format will be deleted starting today (Feb 16)].
2.)If you want advice on a purchase, opinions on what kind of deal you are getting, opinions on mods you have done, or anything else besides reliability information/problems solutions you need to make a new thread with your issue, or search for and post in an existing thread.

Trim piece over rain sensor rattles - Fixed with double-sided tape (keeps the thin plastic from tapping the windshield)
No power / Non-functional Radio/Nav/Blind-Spot detection - dealer pulled and reseated the IOD, hooked up the StarScan and reset the radio.
I have driven from Northern Virginia, south to Port Canaveral and north to Connecticut and she rides great; the superb seating is much less fatiguing on long drives than in the Yukon Denali this D replaced.

Black lining in Glove box 'sheds' on whatever is in there.
Gas Mileage: Between 17.21 and 19.04 MPG (18.37 overall average) 60/40 Highway/City
Overall I'm thrilled with my Durango - its everything I was hoping for and more. It drives great, handles relaly well and is very comfortable. Mileage is a little lower than I expected (the trip computer calculations are about 1-1.5MPG high each time compared to my calculations).

Problem/issues: Scratched chrome piece under driver side door - found by dealer at dealer prep prior to delivery and pointed out to me at time of delivery. I actually would have never noticed it. They ordered new piece and was replaced at first oil change.
No other problems - none! The DD is everything i hoped it to be - ride, comfort, towing, roominess, quiet ride and decent MPG. Would buy again in a heartbeat. It replaced a '03 GMC Envoy- no comparison.

1. Phantom alarm activation - dealership fixed (software update)
2. 2nd day of ownership 1 interior light in the hatchback went out and a bad wire harness - dealership fixed taking another part from a Durango...service tech broke the trim grab handle piece, replaced later on.
3. Lower part driver side door slightly not lined up/flush with the rear.
4. Issue with Sirius Sat service cut after 3 months - went to Dodge corporate to resolve issue beside the original 1 yr free service got extended a few more months.
Mechanically the D has no issues been an awesome daily driver! agree with other posters here...rides great, love the seats and driving position.

-Light bulb in Liftgate went out within 500 miles. Fixed by dealer
-Adaptive Cruise Control and FCW sensor went bad around 18,xxx miles. Turned out to be a bad sensor. Fixed by dealer
Has been on 2 roadtrips consisting over 3,000 miles each and was great on both. Plus it is my wife's daily driver. Just put on a K&N 77 series and about to put on a Flowmaster cat-back exhaust. Has been an excellent vehicle in the first year.

-Passenger side front window - the felt on the rubber trim that touches the window on the inside came unglued so the window would rub against rubber trim and pull it down into the window, it would also leave a nasty streak on the window every time you rolled it down and up.
Solution- Dealer replaced the trim piece under warranty and at the same time scratched my window tint pretty bad. Had to get window tint replaced and they reimbursed me the money to have it done at original tint shop.
I have owned my Crew w/v6 now for 12 months and have 18,645 miles on it. One minor issue to report is the windshield washer nozzle on passenger side shoots a stream of fluid vs spray as intended.
Overall MPG around 19. Highway around 25. Towing 16 MPG (mostly highway). I tow a 18.5 foot Ranger Reata that weighs in at 3900# plus passengers and just returned fron a 550 mile driving trip to northern Wisconsin pulling boat and loaded Durango. Towed flawlessly.
Overall, very happy with quality, performance and ride comfort. Would buy again, probably will.
