Default Staggered Rims

Hi all, does anyone know if a staggered set of rims would mess up the drivetrain. I understand that you should not put a staggered set on an AWD vehicle but I had a factory staggered set on my BMW X5?

I wanted to go 22x9 on the front and 22x10 on the rear. Would I do best just going 9 all round and doing a 35 offset on the front and a 45 offset on the rear?
