Coming from a 07 jeep srt8.....
Hello, the name is Pat!!!!!
I had to sell my jeep two years ago, due for the fact the seating in the back would not support three car seats with room to spare. So I sold the jeep bought a 1997 Subaru legacy wagon with LOW miles (70k), I've been just watching the 7 passager SUV's and really like the durangos!!! My jeep (07) was so bad ***, had the looks and the HP to back it up!!! I do like the durangos stance and the 5.7 has a ton of potential of upgrades, has anyone supercharged 3rd generation durangos? Also would dodge ever consider a SRT8 version durango? One more thing my 4th child is due in Oct!!!! (Last one).

Welcome! I also used to have a legacy(06 GT). There are no supercharged Durango's to my knowledge, but tuning just became available for them so I would think they will start trickling in. The SRT Durango would be great, but it seems as dodge doesn't want to go down that route(from what I hear). If you are looking at supercharging a D, make sure to post up as you go! If you can find a S/C kit for a challenger/charger, I would think the installation would be fairly close on our D and would put out a similar power.

I would go with a hotter cam and new heads before I boosted it. The 5.7 can be boosted with tuning but you don't wanna push more than 8-10 lbs on a stock motor. Our top end is the weak link. Once you build that up you can have more fun boosting it safely (or spraying in in my case...hahah). IMO once the TQ mgmt is cracked all you need is new heads and a cam, full exhaust and a tune and you will be in SRT territory and getting great gas mileage! I know because I did it with my Mangnum, 460 HP and 24 MPG on the highway. I was able to pull away from the 6.1's and with my long tubes and a new tune I will be in stock 6.4 territory. Just a thought. There is no replacement for displacement!
