I really like what they did with the new DVD setup on these, it looks awesome. No matter what goes on the DVD, the boys will never agree on same movie, so having ipads on trips is a must so they watch whatever they want. Its pretty crazty that my 2 y/o can open netflix on ipad and find elmo. Ah I miss the days growing up where having a bicycle and a soccer ball was all you needed, already wondering what electronics Santa is going to be asked for in a few months.

Exactly why we deemed it worth the 2K extra cost to keep the kiddos quiet on long drives! Say all you want about kids' dependence on electronics....I'd have given damn near anything when I was that age to be able to watch TV on a long road trip! I keep checking VOTS and its stilllllllll sitting in "Production Scheduled" status. I sure hope to see a change on 21 Sept!

screens and kids
The DVD system has been a mixed blessing for me! Kids, 2 and 4, love it. But the 2 year old is special needs and hasn't warmed up to the headphones. So, on our 5 hour trip to the lake last month, i got to listen to the audio from Cars and then Despicable Me, rather than cranking Bob Seger and the Black Keys.
