14 Durango RT 0-60 and 1/4 mile times

Nope I put 70 packs of Gum and 2 Turkey sandwiches in mine yesterday ...or was it last week. I do wish I could change my Nav guidance Icon to the little SUV like the new radio.
Scott, You had a Bad *** SRT8 before this one and it had a 6 speed so we know performance can be had with some tweaking.
Now as for the Giants tonight I hope they lose

I hope this doesn't turn into a show um what ya got thread. Last time we had a bunch of us flashing pics of our 10 and 11 second cars and how we don't need another race car. The real facts are that the 14' Durango will be marginally faster and marginally more fuel efficient. First gear alone is a whopping 14.49 overall ratio compared to the 6 speeds 10.1. That means at the hemis torque peak of 390ft-lbs at 4250 rpm the 8 speed will hit ya with an extra 1500lbs of the twisty stuff (TQ).(4.69. 1st gear) X (3.09 axle ratio)= 14.49.1 X (390 ft-lbs torque) = 5,656 --(uncorrected for driveline loss but comparable)-- But at the end of the day or 1/4 mile you still have the same power to weight ratio and unless they pull a crap load of Torque management out (which I doubt) it wont be much faster than the 13'. It will feel a little faster but gear multiplication only helps transmit more TQ not HP and since we already have plenty of TQ its just not going to make an earth shattering difference. As for all of us with faster cars for fun the 14' Durango just doesn't matter that much.
