What kind of wax do you use/recommend? I have never been a car/truck washer, I bet I have washed my vehicles less than 5 times a year over the last 10 years. But....I love the look of the Granite D when it is clean and have washed it 2 times in the last week and half. Old dogs CAN learn new tricks!

I hit one with a mild compound and it seemed to come back some. I have all the tools and have wet sanded before, the 2 clear paint protectors on the rear portion of the side door sill trim are history. I will probably tackle it in the spring and them use then make custom pieces of the 3M clear skin (not the spray on) to help save it. Hope Dodge sells those replacement clear paint protectors.

Mike I was going to say if you get the areas back up and looking good ARmor all makes a clear coating spray that will protect those areas and can be peeled off later on
After seeing this I am going to treat those areas on my D to protect them

Look into Collonite waxes 476s, 845 and 915 A are all great and inexpensive. Finish Kare 1000 High Temp Paste wax is also good. Again the absolute best protection is a coating. It is like adding another layer of clear to your paint.

Can't find any of this at Auto zone or O'reilly....what about Meguiars ultimate paste wax? There are lots of carnauba waxes as well?

I have a good 5 coats of wax and no wax would have helped this. Hell the protective clear tape is history in one 200 mile trip.
