I have 275/40/22 Nittos wrapped around Factory Reproductions Vipers. If you think the rubbing is from the outside edge of the tire hitting the plastic trim that goes around the fender lip, then I *might* be OK.

I wish they were a little stiffer rate than stock though. Hmmmm, I thought this was something that was mentioned by Black Ops (slightly stiffer, less body roll).

thats exactly what it is.
once aware of it, I have been able to avoid rub pretty much altogether by slowing down more on the worst and well known road dips..
Only once or twice in last 5 days (once doing 75+mph and once on a surprise
dramatic dip) have I had noticeable rub

if you typically drive the speed limit, frequent the same roads often, and/or live in a newly paved or well preserved city you should be fine. Otherwise, may need to do a gut check before going forward...

Just a thought...what about installing "bump stops" to limit the amount of travel so that you are bottoming out on something designed for this purpose, versus having your tire hit your fender?

I am strongly considering it. SS2RT - do you have 22x9's or 22x10's?

I am running 22x9's with 275 rubber. Plus I may add a bump stop...LOL

Would really like feedback on the 275's. Might switch tires if they workout without any issues. I don't think 275's will be a problem, but I did think 285 was going to be an issue.

That's a good idea. Not such a huge deal buying 2 and saving the others for when needed in rear.
