Default 5.7 T-Stat

Would a Duralast 4128 be a direct drop in 180 tstat for a 2011 5.7 Durango? This would be found at AutoZone.

Not aware of the duralast stat being an option. Is autozone claiming its a direct replacement? The two I'm aware of is the Murray 4128 which needs to be modified( grinding the circumference a few mm and the Jet 180 stat. I believe Steve knows we're to get one cheaper than jet or summits website. I use the modified Murray unit.

High horse power in Delaware
They sell their 180 Hemi stat that is made for them by JET
Works perfect no modding

Thanks for the help, guys. I am getting tired of seeing 215-220 degrees while in slow traffic or idling. The heat soaking seems to sap some performance as well. Want to accomplish this before moving on to a Diablo In tune programmer.

The claims of " fail safe" thermostat are very amusing to me since it is impossible for any company to predict that either spring will break. All thermostats by design simply lock themselves open if but only if it's already in the full stroke open position. It will not spring open if it fails in a closed position.
