It'll start but then immediately shut off if the fuel range is low.
It won't let you remote start it and run it dry

It also won't let you remote start with a door open, hood open, or CEL illuminated.

U can also turn it off by double clicking the same buttons. Comes in very handy when showing off sound of magnaflow

Can you drive up to a parking spot, park it and hit remote start to keep it running then get out? My Exploder does that but it never occurred to me to try that on the DD till just now.

It only runs for 15mins. After that it shuts down for safety... at least mine does that and I think I also read something in the manual about that.

You also can only perform the remote start 2x before actually turning the ignition to the on position which resets the counter.

It also starts and then immediately dies and the horn will honk if your alarm has gone off prior to remote start or there has been a security event like door handles pulled etc.

So it doesn't want you to be able to jump in and go if the boogie man has broken in and is hiding under a blanket in the back seat

Just leave the car on and get out. I do it all the time when I run in to a store quickly. Just hit the button on the door handle to lock it after I close the door.

*Not sure if the easy access or comfort access or whatever the hell it's called is standard or not. But I guess you need the option to be able to keep your keys in your pocket and start the car without an actual key in the ignition.
