Default Drove a 2015 Jeep SRT today and......

I couldn't see spending $74 large on a vehicle......BUT, that thing was QUICK and absolutely beautiful inside. More I drove the more I wanted it. Dealer said used Durango's don't stay on the lot very long and wanted mine.

Problem is resale on Chrysler products isn't great, especially first 2 years. My 2013 R/T with low miles has lost ten grand. If I wait another year, value remains about the same. So 3 to 4 years before selling/trading is optimal.

Sigh.......I'll have to wait. Loved the power that thing had.

I was obsessed with getting one and after I drove it (a 2014) I came away feeling that it wasn't worth the money! Don't get me wrong it was fast as s*&t but it didn't seem to handle as well as I thought it would. I could see a used 14 in a few years if it was a smoking deal but that's about it.

On the same path just have to get low enough to refi the RT So I can keep it and get an 12 or 13 JGC SRT. Driven both a 12 and a 14 but man I just don't trust the 8sp as it is and want to boost eventually. Built 5 speed is better for $.

Ps wanna, how much was your msrp on your DD?

Not for me, I love my RT, gonna get my 14 paid off in 3 years and keep it for a work truck. Then pick up a 4 year old Hellcat for my personal play toy

I test drove one at Carmax before buying my 11 DD, that race launch is amazing! I let the Carmax employee do that, he loved it too.

My MSRP was a little over $47 and I paid $41. Dealer offered 30+K for starters which is Kelly trade in. (2012 R/T is worth almost the same.) I agree that the Jeep is just too much money. Hellcats are a much better deal if you can get one.

Ive had big dog, high dollar, supercharged vehicles in the past. They are rarely worth it to buy new. Find them used and get a deal.
Or pick up a Durango and put a RIPP supercharger on it when the warranty runs out. Thats what I might do. Hopefully in a few years we can get more stuff to beef up the 8 speeds, last I heard when doing research is that they cant handle too much power.

I drove a brand new SC Range Rover Sport a few weeks back. It was pretty quick but I was underwhelmed. They truely are for people with too much damn money LOL!
