I have a 2012 R/T not sure what system is in there. Where do I look to find that out? If I find it I will take a disk to update mine.

Go to this site, enter your VIN, and it should tell you which version of head unit you have. It may tell you that there are no software updates available, but that's not necessarily accurate.

I think others here have said you can open the little cover for the USB port in the lower right of the head unit and it should say in there which model you have.

Yes, look for the sales code right under the aux port on the lower right hand side of the radio...

To be fair, that site always said my unit did not have an update available (vehicle build date of April 2011 and my radio had a 10.x software version), but I was still able to do a stepped upgrade all the way to v50.

Yeah, that site said there wasn't any upgrades for mine either, but it worked fine for me!

Did you update to 33 on one CD, then restart the process for 50 on another CD ?

Yes, the DVD didn't recognize so I got CD-Rs to burn to,
Thanks

Yep, I burned the image for 33 on a single CD-R, then the image for 50 on a second CD-R. I updated to 33 first, then once I was comfortable it updated fine, I proceeded to 50.

I didn't time the updates, but it seemed like each took around 10 minutes.
