From Owner's Manual:
The A/C air filter is located in the fresh air inlet behind
the glove box. Perform the following procedure to replace
the filter:
1. Open the glove compartment and remove all contents.
2. Push in on the sides of the glove compartment and
lower the door.
3. Pivot the glove compartment downward.
4. Disengage the two retaining tabs that secure the filter
cover to the HVAC housing, and remove the cover.

I do know that Autozone, and Napa all charge 40-50 bucks. IIRC dealer was 63. I found it at Orielly's for 10 bucks, Advance for 16 and 11....

Just like home filters there is a big difference in the quality of the filters. A $10 filter is not going to be the same as a $40 filter. Remember the retailer has to make a profit so he probably paid around $5 for that filter. What do you think it cost to make that filter $1? How good can it be. I don't know if they give you MERV ratings on car filters or not like they do on home AC filters. Do your research before you buy and install.

Air Filter
It's good to browse forums. I did not know my '13 D had a CAF. Took it out after reading the post. It was filthy. Found that Auto Zone wanted $44 for a Fram with no lower priced alternative. Went to NAPA and bought one for $11. Kind of a pain to install, but glad I did and it will be an annual replacement item.
