Default "FOB has left the vehicle"

So I have been having an issue with the key fob. I have replaced the FOB battery several times and the message still pops up. Sequence to repeat:

1. Remote start car
2. Unlock with FOB
3. Place FOB inside and push the start button to turn on vehicle in full mode
4. Open any door and the message pops up

I have to turn off the Durango, Open/Close a door and then restart for the message to go away.

As mentioned I have replaced the battery on the FOB several times. Any ideas?

Hey kiddhan625,

I searched for a TSB that could be related to what you're experiencing, but unfortunately I was unable to find one. Has a FCA dealership had a chance to look at this concern for you?

Well, I had the same problem and replaced the batt even though the original batt checked good with no luck. I called a buddy and he said not to touch any of the contacts or either side of the batt with your fingers. He also said to get a new eraser and clean all contacts and both sides of the new batt and wipe them all clean with a clean rag. After two or three starts I have never seen that message again and that was a year ago. Just saying!

I was going through battery every 3 months then 2 months them 1 months then 3 weeks, granted I never take key fob out unless I'm out with the D. In the garage and at work its in the console. I always used fresh new Duracell or Energizer. I cleaned all the interior parts of FOB circuit board with a C tip and alcohol. Its been good since June so far.
