2013 Citadel - Stalling on Start
Hey All,
In the last week my truck has been stalling on occasion after push button start. I push the start button, it catches, then it stalls dead. When I restart, the starter motor cycles without catching until I hit the start button again to stop it. Next up, I push start again and we're good. I'm going in next week to get the fuel pump TSB relay fixed and I'm wondering if this may be the cause. I'm off warranty since the summer so I'm hoping it's not an ignition issue.

I've had the exact same problem and the fuel pump relay did not solve the problem.
What has worked for me is removing the pushbutton and always using the key. I haven't had the problem since I started doing it that way two months ago. I don't see that as a solution, but I'm trying to narrow it down.
If you get a chance to try this, I'd be interested in your results.

Thanks all. I don't think it's a fob issue. Both fobs have new batteries and it happens to both. I'm getting the fuel pump TSB done next week. If it continues, I guess I have to go to the stealership.
BTW - And I'll ask this question in the full forum but, is there a way to check for error codes in the EVIC on this generation? I can get them by toggling the ignition on my 300C.
Thanks.

Mine also did it with both fobs. I think it might be a problem in properly recognizing ANY fob. But I'm really just guessing. I don't know if the security system is designed to stall and not restart like that if it detects an error. But once I started it using the fob as a key, it's been fine.
Please try it, it might help diagnosing our problem.

Please keep us posted if the TSB fixes the stalling concern.
I checked in the Owner's Manual for error codes in the EVIC and this is what I found in "Understanding Your Instrument Panel", Page 340:
Messages #
Select from Main Menu using the UP or DOWN buttons.
This feature shows the number of stored warning messages
(in the # place holder). Pressing the SELECT button
will allow you to see what the stored messages are. Press
and release the UP and DOWN buttons if there is more
than one message to step through the remaining stored
messages. Pressing the BACK button takes you back to
the Main Menu.
I hope this helps!
