Read where you can activate the back up camera to watch your trailer while moving forward. I had that capability in my '08 RAV4 aftermarket head unit. Finally someone figured out it would be a useful tool.
Well, you could add a SPDT switch to the Reverse input to the factory head unit to trigger the backup camera when you want, or you could install a LockPick device which would add other functions as well and not require cutting wires.

Thanks, Rod. My comment was just one of frustration. I can do those things which require time/effort/money, but it would have been nice if they made it factory a long time ago. My wife's ML350 (Durango cousin) has a 360 camera but you cannot keep the camera on after a certain speed. I bought this awhile back as it transmits to my iPad mini. Cheapest no mod solution which I can move between cars. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
In my '17 Citadel it's under Controls. I don't know what model you have or if that's only available in certain trims levels but that's where the button is on mine.
I have a '13 R/T. As Rod suggested, the camera can probably be hacked, or controlled via aftermarket software. I was just whining that it is now available on a '17. Since I will be buying an '18 SRT, it'll be nice to be able to watch cars behind me retreat into the dust.....
