I'm on the stock 245's and it definately goes even for a QuadCab. Now the car is snowed in and I wish I had the 4.88's from time to time... probably the only regret in going 4.56's

4.56 is as high as you can go. Withour diff housing mods or replacement.

You can drop 4.88's in 2wd rams to my knowledge.

yep. ran 4.88's on stock LSD for 2 years just fine.

3.92 in my 4x4 with 35's...doesnt turn em as fast as id like lol goin to 4.56's because from all i've read on hear thats where its at for that size

I'm runnin the stock 3.55s with the stock tires but if I ever get the money, I would love to go up to 4.10s. Or 4.56s if I ever get bigger tires.

have headers exhaust tuner vararam intake trm delete and 4.56 gears and the gears were a bigger upgrade then all the other **** i have done!! locking Detroit diff helps alot too

yeah I put a Detroit in mine too with 4.56's and wow what a difference!!!

just bought an 05 2500 hd hemi 5spd. manual, 4x4, according to the dealer it has 3.73s......... i know it's low in 4th gear at 55 it's turning 2500 rpms. my 03 dakota barley runs 2000 rpms when in 4th gear at 60 mph.

Stock 3.92 LSD with worn 31" tires. Upgrading to 33s within a year or so.

Pretty happy so far. I drive 30% city/70 hwy and find myself offroad or towing somewhat regularly, but not planning to change gears anytime soon.
