Well I voted Royal Purple, but of my truck and jeep, 3 of the 4 axles run RP. I have it in the front and rear of the jeep, and the front of the truck, and change it every 30k. But I have an Auburn LSD in the rear of the truck and it specifically calls for dino oil and additive. So I use Lucas conventional in there and change it every 15k...

I voted Other, but can't remember what brand lube I used last. Pretty much just whatever syn the local parts store carries.

Default what gear lube for 2004 Ram 2500HD Hemi?

So far - nothing in the documentation.

Anyone know if this is an LSD?

What do you suggest?

In the 1500 there is usually a sticker in the glove box that would say anti slip rear or something like that. You can call any dealer and get them to print you an option sheet using your VIN also.

I'm a seriously happy camper. Went to the dealer today.

Found out that I got the following for $6800 - and before the tax hike:

a 2004 Ram 2500 HD Hemi with 31K miles - std cab

10.5" LSD rear

ST package (bare bones)

and the truck even has service records!!!

I'm like a kid with a new toy.

I just bought Mobile 1 Syn for my rear. Will be doing the replacement of it today due to also having to check those retaining clips in the rear. :-(
