getting poor gas mileage on a hemi

13.5 is not that bad. Like other said, keep up with the maintenance, plugs, oil, trans fluid and diffs. Also, make sure your tires are properly inflated and everything is in alignment.
Also, your right foot has as much to do with mileage as anything. I know if I drive my truck like a sane person (which is not often) I can get 16 combine, mostly city. However, the way I normally drive I get 12.5, but I drive my truck like I stole it

I used to be luck to see 11.5 when I first got my '03, I was in the same boat thought something was def wrong. So, K&N CAI, NGK dbl plat plugs, SC prgrmr and now I avg 14.5/15 on the hwy (wind direction pending) and around 13 or so city runnin 285 bfgs

i have 05 5.7 hemi quad w/20" wheels and 80,000 miles and used to get 17+ mpg highway but has now dropped to 13mpg atnen best on hwy. Seemed to have lost mpg in very short amount of time (3,000 miles ago). Any one with suggestions. P.S. Just joined forum today. Hi everybody.

I'd definately check the plugs. Have you ever changed them? Air filter might need changing Tires might be underinflated,,,Check all the small maintenance stuff
