Default fog light woes.....

caught a rock in my pass fog light (oem). broke lens and bulb. called dodge......$179.00 to replace it!!! they cannot sell just lens, only single unit. this is the second time in past week i caught a rock there!

no JY's around here or within 4 hours have a late model ram.

suggestions? anyone try the cheap oe chinese fogs? does anyone know of a stone shield for this application? (gots a feelin its gunna be a diy'er)

i do use mine alot as it does get quite foggy here regularly and it make a huge difference on the back roads i frequently travel.

thanks everyone!

While I can't speak personally for the quality,my LMC catalog offers that foglight for $79.95.

http://www.lmctruck.com/dodge/

They also offer a cover with some horizontal ribs, but it's hard to say how protective those might be.

Was that price for the dealer to install it?

I can get BOTH Mopar fog lights for my truck for $129.00 including the new switch and wiring harness. $179.00 for ONE lamp housing is absurd.

That is the same complete kit you would buy from a Dodge dealer.

I bought one on e-bay about 2 years ago for around 60 bucks. Never any problems with it.

I know that autozone sells the foglights for around $37, they will probably order it, but I had mine the same day

Amazon had replacements for $49 a piece. Seemed ok quality-wise. They bolted and plugged right in.
