Default Exhaust Help

I am in the process of installing my new Gibson cat back exhaust. The pipe connected to the muffler does not want to come off? Any suggestions to get it to come off? I could cut it and then see what Home Depot has for some replacement pipe. I have WD40d it and hit is a lot with no luck. [:@]

Thanks for the help

If you have a propane torch you might try a little heat and a hammer.

Other than that, do you know any good old plow boys? A six pack of beer and the Worlds Strongest Red Neck could get er done.

IS it the part towards the rear of the truck? or the front?.... I went and pulled my muffler off... and the only was was to take off the Tailpipe/rear resonator.... and then i was able to remove the muffler.... but only after detaching all mounts..... and if it's the forward side.... just work at it.. push up.... pulll down... side to side... may take a few... may have to have a beer while trying....

Towards the front. I had two beers while trying and no luck yet. It is coming off tomorrow. Everything is off except a small piece. I cut it right by the muffler.

That was the worst.... I think I pulled down on the joint where the muff met the pipe(i know... that was dirty)... and pushed up on the rear end of the muffler... once it breaks free .... i was just wobbleing it out.....

i had the same problem when i put my gobson exhaust on. i had to cut the muffler off and then with a cut off wheel cut down the sides of the remaing pipe, but not too deep to cut the pipe that was needed. it was a bitch to say the least. what kind of exhaust from them did you get?
