Default transmission flush

my local mechanic said he would remove my tranny pan, flush the system, and change the filter(s) for $90. Is that reasonable?

Seems good,is that for a FULL fluid removal? Tourqe converter too?The shop I brought mine too was going to do it for $115,I ended up paying$220for them to use Amsoil Synthetic.Just make sure they use ATF+4.

well bobby, thats a great deal. dealership will charge u approx $150.00 just for a trans flush not including trans service and oil change. Just make sure they flush the entire system with torque converter and drop pan to replace both the trans filter and sump filter in the tranny

Either he's working for free - or he's going to put the wrong fluid in there.

Hey, while we're on the subject. one of my neighbors was saying, that it's best to change the Transmission Fluid every 10K miles.
What's your opinion?

ask him what brand fluid... i wouldnt run anything other than stock mopar atf-4 or amsoil.

and 10k is a waste unless you tow soemthing that is at the trucks limits. i kow guys that flush the trans in the 3500 every 15k but they tow30-40 travel trailers daily. i cant see it helping you out any flushing that early.
