How many miles does the engine have? How big a cam are you planning on? These will dictate a lot of it.

Not sure the miles on the engine but the truck has 140,000 the engine was changed out sometime before I bought it and is really fresh and runs great. So far i'm running a K&N CAI, E-fan, Moe's Ported 85 mm TB, 180 stat, Kooks long tube headers with catted y-pipe, Gibson cat-back with a Diablo Intune 3 (Hemifever Tune) and i'm going to install the Comp Cams 268H with springs, retainers, pushrods, timing set and tune. I just don't know if there is anything else I should replace while I have the front of the motor apart ?

Ok, just make sure you leave the solenoids in place and plugged in. Someone recently thought if you just removed the solenoids that would do the trick and couldn't understand why his engine acted like it was running on four cylinders; it WAS. Without the solenoids in place the lifters for those four collapse. Use the OEM 6.1 timing set. If the engine is fresh then you should be fine with the oil pump as is, generally an upgrade is a good idea, like the OEM 6.1 oil pump. Same thing with the water pump, if it isn't old then it should be good.
