Default Torsion bars

I'm trying to do my research on this before I do anything and had some questions. First of all the truck sits higher in the back. I don't want to lower the back for load purposes. I'm thinking of adjusting the torsion bar to bring the front up. I don't want anything drastic. Maybe an inch or less than two. If I adjust that, how is that going to affect the ride and handling with bumpy roads and all.

The higher you go the worse the ride will be. 94rt10ohio did one inch on his truck. If you want 2 inches or more you should get new torsion keys.

For just an inch or so, you'd be fine with a crank or two on the bolts. It'll stiffen a little, but at that little bit of height it shouldn't be bad at all.

My ride changed a little, but nothing drastic.

I lifted mine up about 2" give or take a little. The ride got a little harder but its alot better. It has a more postive feel. I can feel those little bumps but I can go over speed bumps alot faster and it soaks it up. Some say its way harsh but I guess they have never ridin in a real truck with leafs springs all around and a solid front axle. Just try it and see how you like it. But for me I also have airbags in the rear so it rides like a 2500. If you don't like it just put them back down to stock, but if you go as high as I did you'll need new shocks. oh and I did a whopping 6 full turns on each bolt but I also think that before I started the bars were a little tired. I have some pics im my gallery if you need a reference to the hieght.

Is this the nut to turn? If so, how much does one rotation create?

No that's not it. The one you need to turn is about under the door attached to a long rod the bolts face straight down. It also helps if you jack the front up so it is easier to turn them. There are 2 and need to adjust both. One per side.

This is the torsion bar, underneath you'll find a bolt right where the torsion key is. That's the one you want.

Here is what the key looks like:
