same thing happened to me. disconnect negative terminal on battery, go smoke a cigarette, hook it back up. problem most likely solved.

it's probably your vehicle used to the new improved timing supplied by the changing of you plugs.

What year truck? Which motor? A proper reset is to pull the PCM fuse, get in the truck and close the door (shuts of the chimes). Turn key to on (not start) and wait for the chimes to stop and indicators to settle. Put the fuse back in an' start 'er up. It won't start the first kick, so don't panic. If the CEL comes back, make sure all the plug and coil wires are snug. You may have a bad coil, but that may trigger a different code.

Thanks for response, It is a 2006 dodge ram 1500 6 cylinder , I dont think its the coil , because I swaped out coils from cylinder 2 and put it on cylinder 4 to see if I would get a misfire code on cylinder 2 and I did not , I got again cylinder 4 misfire.I will try the the pcm fuse. Thanks

dude, u have the same truck as me...

i'm surprised the battery disconnect didn't work. i'm running ngk iridium ix plugs...maybe i had a lesser problem cause our stockers were regular ngk's anyways.

so yea, get back to us. i'm sure that fuse pull will work.

did you get the right gap? Yours should be a 40
