Default windshield washer

Hello,

I have a 2005 Ram 2500 quadcad diesel. Only had it for a few months and love the truck. I noticed the other day that windshield washer is not working. Not sure if it has worked since I bought the truck, but its definitely not working now. I could not find a listing for a fuse in the box under the hood. When I push the switch the wipers work, but it does not spray any fluid. I do not hear any sounds like the pump is working. Anyone have any suggestions?

THANKS,
David

First, try unplugging the washer hose right at the pump and see if you can get anything to come out of the pump. That will determine if the pump is working at all. If it works, then you get to have fun replacing the washer hose.

Second, try putting power to the pump direct.

The pump is very easy to access and you should be able to do both of these fairly quick.

That's good advice. I could not have said it better myself.

How do you know they all work? Just because a fuse "looks good" doesn't mean it still works. Find the right fuse number in your owners manual and then either test the fuse with a meter or just replace the fuse.
