So, I wanted to find the ASD or fuel pump relay today so I could wire in something that would only have power when the engine was actually running, according to the docs the relays are located in the PDC next to the battery. However, all I can find in there are fuses????
I have a 2006 Quad Cab with the 4.7 v8 ... can anyone please tell me where the relays are hiding?
There are some larger items in there, but they aren't relays they are the larger capacity fuses. They only have two connectors instead of the four a relay needs.
Here's a couple of pictures I stole from Hammer... it shows how to do a high beam and fog light trick. The black boxes in the fuse box are the relays. I think this is in a Hemi, but I would think the 4.7L is very similar if not the same.
Thanks for posting the pics, my PDC is very different, it's like half the size and mounted at about a 40 degree angle next to the battery. No relays whatsoever
Hmm, I have a copy of the "2006 Dodge Ram Truck Workshop Service Repair Manual" in pdf format. When looking up the ASD or other relays in the index, the page states that it is 'located in the PDC', however, the PDC in the diagram is always the bigger style as in the photos above. The manual deals with 3.7, 4.7, 5.7 and diesel so I don't know why it won't differentiate? Maybe they changed the 4.7's PDC mid model year????
