Default Chrysler Lifetime Bumper to Bumper Warranty

Well after looking at my extended warranty paperwork, I discovered that it was through a private company, after a google search I discovered that their have been a lot of complaints about the service from this company. So I went back to the Dealer and switched extended warranties to a Chrysler Warranty.

The old warranty was a 5 year / 100,000 electric/power train, I payed $360 more and got a 6 year / 100,000 bumper to bumper through Chrysler. Well the dealer tried to sell me a Chrysler Lifetime / unlimited mileage Bumper to Bumper Warranty. He said it is relatively new. I must say I was tempted, but I did not want to spend the extra $880 for that one.

I almost got that myself. I got the 72mo/85K bumper to bumper for $1200.
It's the EasyCare Blue.
Got the 84mo/60K on the wife's Caliber. She doesn't drive near as far as I do.
I'm like you, I don't like those private warranty companies. They try to deny everything.
You made a good choice.

Wow, I didn't even know they provided that. Just too bad I'd rather do the work myself. It wouldn't benefit me much at all, but it still sounds tempting. Never know when your window motors will fail or your power seat....etc.... When your A/C will fail. I could go on and on of things that I would rather have them do!

They are figuring that 90% of the buyers will end up selling or trading theire vehicle in for a newer better more updated model. It's the American way! they are simply playing the odds here.

I could have gotten the same thing for 1800 bucks, but opted not to. I fugured the lifetime powertrain warranty was enough. I guess we will see if I am right or not?

With everything power these days, I figured why not. I can fix about anything myself, but why if I don't have too.

when I got my truck shipped from the US. factory warranty is void i guess. so they gave me a 60k/5yr. warranty through nation wide. they are total crap. I get the squeaky front end when its cool out, they wont fix it. they say its not bad enough.... about a month after I bought it, an O2 sensor went, they wouldnt replace it. and I would have had to take it to the dealer to get oil changes done and stuff like that. so I decided just to do everything my self that way it gets done right. I wish they woulda told me it had no factory warranty on it when I bought it. I probly woulda kept on looking...

That stinks. Why would going across the border void the warranty?
