Turn Signal Flasher Location '02 1500
Just found the forum. Site looks awsome. Already saved it in my bookmarks before I signed up.
Question.
I am changing out my stock incandescent turn/brake bulbs with some direct replacement LED bulbs. Same dimensions and utilizing the smae housings and connectors.
The problem I read about when buying them is my light out indicator will most likely come on and my turn signal flasher wont work. This holds true for my truck.
Trying to find where and type of flasher my 02 ram 1500 quad cab takes? Searched the forum but didnt come up with anything firm. Is this a thermal flasher or an electronic flasher?
It is my understanding that an electronic flasher will work with the LED without having to put inline Ohm/Watt load resistors in. Is this correct?
Thank you.

Took a few hours out of the day today to look deeper into where the flasher would be. First disconnected the negative battery post and waited 5 plus minutes before starting (cause of the airbags. Didnt want to bump or snag a wire and have the airbag go off)
Took the dash apart, Lower valance under steering wheel, left of steering wheel with the headlight switch, door jamb handle, instrument cluster, and almost all of the upper dash. Saw a few wiring connectors and such but could not find anything that looked like a flasher. Everything I saw was just wiring connectors/splitters.
Where could the flasher be?
The clicking is coming from the dash somewhere, I assume it is inside.
Please help me.

Thank you for that link. I had seen a post about the 2002 with the same question and it had not been answered. I did not see this question for the 2004 though.
Seems like i am going to have to put the load resistors in. Didnt want to mess with the factory wiring but I am going to now.
thank you all for your help.
