2006 1500 v6 mega cab getting hot during idle
My truck has been getting hot during idling ie. drive thrus and long stop lights. But then drops back to normal when I begin driving again. Just seeing if anyone had a similar problem. My radiator fan sounds and looks like it is running normally.

Fan clutch is as good of a guess as any.
I'd recommend refreshing your cooling system. Remove the thermostat and disconnect the lower radiator hose. Blow the coolant out of the block with a shop vac and replace the thermostat and coolant.
If you still have high engine temps then it's either the radiator, or, the cooling system is at its limit. What's the outside temperature when you are overheating?
Next time you see the temp rise, turn on your heater to hot and fan to max. Let us know if the temp stays within range with heat on. The heater core acts as a mini radiator.
